Jarrett Stone

Jarrett StoneA native Texan from the Houston metro area, Jarrett Stone has always had an interest in community involvement and entrepreneurship. As a teenager, he had his own local show called The Stone Show, during which he would interview members of the community to bring smiles to those watching.

Jarrett ultimately developed his work ethic and sense of teamwork through both playing high school basketball and managing his own video production company that he started some time later. During this period, he helped a number of football teams, local bands, and companies realize their goals and learned the importance of exceeding a client’s expectations.

Education

After high school graduation, Jarrett attended the University of Texas at Austin and earned a degree in philosophy. The bulk of his coursework focused on ethics and religion, which helped him hone his ability to craft logical and convincing arguments.

These studies naturally developed into an interest in law, and Jarrett officially began his transformation into an attorney when he was accepted into the Texas Tech School of Law. While there, he became a top-ranked advocate and received a number of accolades. Not only was he voted “Mr. Tech Law,” but he was also named an executive member of the Board of Barristers.

As for his legal studies, he earned the highest marks possible in both Oral Arguments and Negotiations and excelled in courses like Evidence and Trial Advocacy.

While at Texas Tech, Jarrett also continued to maintain his interest in community involvement by becoming a mentor to other law students. He helped them to realize their potential by becoming effective advocates of their own.

Legal Career

Jarrett became officially licensed to practice law in November of 2016. A dedicated advocate, he spent over 400 hours representing low-income clients from Texas Tech’s Family Law and Housing Clinical Program. He found helping others through the toughest of times—as is true with most family law cases— to be very rewarding and used that as motivation to take on the more complicated cases in the clinic.

While he began his legal career by prosecuting criminal matters, Jarrett is now fully devoted to personal injury law and helping injury victims receive the recovery they deserve. He is mindful that people come to him for help after experiencing traumatic events, and he seeks to help them achieve full compensation, justice, and peace.

Personal Life

In his free time, Jarrett still enjoys playing basketball, just as he did in high school. He is also heavily involved in the Austin Sand Volleyball Community, an activity he can be found engaged in on most summer weekends.
